Invasive ll, 24 x 18, Original watercolor, mounted on reclaimed campaign signs, multli-layer
Bamboo is beautiful, the wind blowing through it creates a peaceful sound. However, I live in Western PA, and I do not have a panda to feed - so it is an invasive species. It is difficult to manage and keep under control. I know all this, because I have it in my backyard. I love to look at it, but it is hard to make sure it doesn't take over the backyard. Trust me, buy the painting - do not plant your own.
This is an original watercolor painting created using professional materials. It will never be reproduced as a print; you will be buying a one-of-a-kind painting.
This painting is mounted on a double layer of corrugated plastic (mostly likely a reclaimed election yard sign). The edges are covered with black book binding tape for a clean finish. The plastic is cut slightly smaller than the painting, so that it is not visible from the front. It is wired and ready to hang. Artist grade products are used to adhere and protect surfaces. It is meant for indoor use only.
It is also mounted so that the 1st, 3rd, and 5th strip are higher than the other 3.
The result is a clean contemporary look that is extremely light weight. It can hang many places a traditional piece cannot, or it is sturdy enough to sit on a shelf. The surface is treated to protect the painting. You can hang it as it is, or you may wish to have it framed; in which case, you do not need glass.
