I am passionate about enjoying nature, that is why I include its preservation in my art. I have always loved the flow and grace of watercolor. One aspect I did not enjoy was framing. I found it wasteful - galleries wanted it framed, but often the purchaser would have it reframed to match their interior.
In addition to wanting to ditch the framing, I wanted to present my art in an Eco-friendly way. I developed a process to protect and display my art on re-claimed elections signs. The result is a sleek contemporary aesthetic which is sturdy and lightweight. You can see many examples here.
Whose sign was it? Republican or Democratic, the campaign is greener if the election signs are collected and repurposed! ;-)
I also enjoy the flexibility this foundation allows. I create exciting fragmented, 3 dimensional pieces. See "The Thaw" my most recent piece in this category. I look forward to producing many more of these unique pieces. They are a customizable to match color schemes and unusual nooks that need 'just the right piece".

Surrounding yourself with peaceful, beautiful images will increase your sense of well-being. Place something lovely to look at in a prominent location in your home, or in a tiny nook that only you will notice. Take a moment to imagine yourself in that setting. Enjoy the tranquility of nature.
Nature can bring us back to childhood memories, slow our hectic minds and remind us that we are smaller than we think." - Melissa Tai
