Seagulls at Dusk, 9.5 X 11.25, original watercolor on eco-friendly mount
The graceful colors of dusk are the backdrop for seagulls and beach grasses. This painting was inspired by a trip to Lake Erie on the coast of Ashtabula, OH.
This is an ORIGINAL watercolor painting using professional materials by Melissa Tai. The paper is 300lb, Arches cold press. Fun fact, all the colors in this painting resulted from mixing permanent rose, new gamboge yellow and french ultramarine blue.
This painting will never be reproduced as a print, you will be buying a one-of-a-kind painting.
It is signed on the front and back.

This painting is mounted on a double layer of corrugated plastic (mostly likely a reclaimed election yard sign). The edges are covered with white tape for a clean look. The plastic is cut slightly smaller than the painting, so that it is not visible when viewing the front. Each painting is wired and ready to hang. Please see the sample photo, this is what the back of your painting may look like.
The result is a clean contemporary look that is extremely light weight. The surface is treated to protect the painting. You can hang it as it is, or you may wish to have it framed. If you decide to have it framed you do not need glass to protect the painting.
*Shipping note – your purchase will be packaged in an archival, plant based, cello bag. Firm cardboard or like material will keep it rigid and finally it will be mailed in an appropriate envelope/container.
