This scene is from Laurel Hill State Park in Somerset, PA. I was standing under the shade of the trees, looking out. The water was a dazzling blue. The grasses near the base of the tree were glowing from the slated rays of the sun. I wanted to capture the blue of the water and the sun dancing on the grasses.
This is an original watercolor painting. Professional watercolor pigments were used on Arches 140 lb paper.
