Glorious Bloom - Poppy, 7.5 X 5.5, Original Watercolor
I love that Poppies can pop up in fields and meadows. Not quite a refined as a tulip, but just as pretty. Imagine this little beauty brightening a shelf, nook or nightstand.
The background is painted wet into wet to allow the colors to flow into each other. This interesting yet soft focus background allows the main subject to shine.
Green Apatite Genuine, from the Primatek collection by Daniel Smith, is one of my favorite greens. This specialty pigment is actually made from grinding the semi precious stones. The result is a super granulating pigment that falls apart in unexpected ways in a wet wash. It also mixes very nicely with a wide range of other pigments. Using this paint adds a magic that can't be duplicated – not even if you try.
This is an original watercolor painting created using professional materials. It will never be reproduced as a print, you will be buying a one-of-a-kind painting.
