I can not get enough of sunsets. I especially love them when bare branches reach up as if to catch the color. This scene could be anywhere in winter where I live. The skies are stunning and trees are bare.
The orange and violet in the sky are painted wet into wet. Once dry, I mixed the violet and orange paint to create the brown for the trees and field. The end result is a harmony among the colors.
This is an original watercolor painting. Professional watercolor pigments were used on 140 Arches watercolor paper.
No reproductions are permitted.
