I love nature, even the creepy crawly kind. I mean, I don't want it to touch me, but I do enjoy watching a spider spinning its web. I took this photo one evening at a friend's house. We were enjoying a lovely summer evening. I spied this little (well big for a spider) guy and need to capture him - in a photo and later in paint.
This is an original watercolor painting. Professional watercolor pigments were used on Arches 140 lb paper.
