This is a scene at the Pittsburgh Botanic Gardens near Pittsburgh, PA. This outdoor garden has many lovely spaces, but the Japanese Water Garden is my favorite. A path allows you to walk all the way around. At one end is the beautiful bridge, at the of end there are stepping stones that allow you to cross an inlet stream.
This painting is in the fall. The changed leaves and bare branches let us know that colder temperatures are on the way.
This is an original watercolor painting. Professional watercolor pigments were used on Arches 140 lb paper.
