The abstracted background indicates a sunny day. The robin is shaded by the pine tree it pauses under. The back light is strong, but you can see a hint of the red breast in the red violet of the bird. I see this activity almost daily in my backyard. I love watching the busy birds jump around in the bare low branches. Safe from predators above and below, my avian friends take a rest.
