Forest Fog - Imagined Woods Series, 10 x 8, Original Watercolor
Night is falling, the moon light illuminates the sky. A thick fog is rolling in. The woods are spooky but inviting. Do you dare to enter? That ethereal glow calls to your sense of adventure.
Imagined Woods Series - during quarantine, I became obsessed with what I am calling the Imagined Woods series. Some were dark and foreboding, some were light and hopeful, others feel in between. I explored sizes, shapes, processes and color schemes. Most have multiple layers, with the distant trees hinted at with pale color that were applied wet into wet. Since we were quarantined in the winter and spring the branches are bare but waiting for new life. Even the dark and mysterious ones hint at a distant light.
This is an original watercolor painting. Professional Watercolor pigments were used on Arches 140 lb paper. The paper is torn by hand to create a rough edge all the way around. Every effort is made to create straight edges. Please forgive tiny imperfections, they add to the authenticity of one-of-a-kind art. You can choose to frame it with the edge visible or mat it for a clean edge.
No reproductions are permitted.
I am happy to produce commissions that will allow you to choose colors, size, etc.
